I know I have limitations, but everybody has limitations. I think everyone should have a chance at community employment if they want it. Even the disabled.

Before coming to Goodwill, it was like I can’t do that. Don’t even try. It’s like a big weight off my shoulders.
Getting a job takes time, but
18-year-old Jesse got his first one within two weeks of meeting with one of our employment specialists.
“(The assessment) was helpful. Sometimes I get confused and she’d remind me what I needed to do.”
It’s humbling to work alongside these folks as they displayed such a ‘can do’ spirit that our staff certainly noticed. It is easy to say Cooks Creek definitely benefited from our affiliation with Goodwill’s Summer Youth Program.
