
Cana Horner, Missions Coordinator
Cana has 15 years of experience in the social services field. She has been with Goodwill for more than a decade and oversees all mission programs including workforce development, day services centers, homemaker personal care, and now childcare. She has long dreamt of opening a childcare center at Goodwill.

Mary Anne Queen, Childcare Administrator
Mary Anne joined Goodwill in 2022 as an at-home lister for our eCommerce operation as a second job, however working with children has long been her primary career focus. She comes to us with nearly 8 years of experience as a paraprofessional in the Athens City Schools working with children with disabilities and a decade of experience as a licensed home childcare provider.
She is a wife, mother of three, and Mimi of three. She enjoys painting, looming, and spending time with her family.

Denise Murphy, Administrative Assistant
As our Administrative Assistant, Denise helps keep everything running smoothly at the center. Denise, a Chillicothe native, has worked in childcare for over 13 years in various positions and earned her Child Development Associate in 2019. She has three grown sons, and three grandchildren. She loves seeing children grow and learn new things.
“There is nothing better than seeing the smile on a child’s face after they have learned something new,” she said. “I am very excited to work with each and every child and family that will be serviced here at the Goodwill Childcare Center.”

Infant Room

Melissa Lowry
Melissa is our Lead Teacher in the Infant Room. She has worked in childcare for 7 years and earned her Child Development Associate certification in 2019. She has experience working with kids of all ages and has a 9 year old daughter.
Through her position with Goodwill Childcare, she is looking forward to helping our future leaders learn and grow.

Sierra Armstrong
Sierra is the Assistant Teacher in our Infant Room. She is new to childcare as of summer 2023. She is a graduate of Unioto High school and a Chillicothe native. She has one daughter, who is 3 years old. One thing Sierra is looking forward to is getting to know the families and watch the kids grow.
Toddler Room

Rachel Walls
Rachel is the Lead Teacher in the Toddler Room. She recently graduated from Pickaway Ross CTC’s Early Childhood Education program and Paint Valley High School. She is currently working toward her Child Development Associate (CDA). Rachel is a very positive and humble person and cannot wait to help all the children learn and grow!

Chelsea Seymour
Chelsea is the Assistant Teacher in the Toddler Room. She is new to childcare as of summer 2023. She is a graduate of West High School in Columbus. She has four daughters and one son.
Chelsea is looking forward to getting to know the families and watching the children grow.
Preschool Room

Stacey Caressi
Stacey is the Lead Teacher in the Preschool Room. She has 5 years of experience working with and teaching children. She has a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Development. Stacey has three children.
She enjoys seeing children grow and understand the things she is teaching them.

Katie Gee
Katie is the Assistant Teacher in the preschool room. She comes to us from Head Start where she worked as a family social worker. She has four children and looks forward to getting to know the children and their families.
One of her favorite sayings is: “Tell me, and I forget. Teach me, and I remember. Involve me, and I learn.”

Kendra Hupp
Kendra is our full-time floater who will fill in during absences, breaks, and whenever an extra pair of hands is needed. She is a graduate of Logan Elm High School and the early childhood education program at Pickaway-Ross Career and Technology Center. She is a proud aunt of two nephews and a niece.
Kendra is looking forward to welcoming the children and families to the childcare center!
