Goodwill of South Central Ohio will be opening a store in South Bloomfield on Thursday, Aug. 13, making it its second store in Pickaway County and 10th across its region.
The 9,000 square-foot store will be in the former Dollar General (most recently Pickaway Place) at 5075 S. Union St. one block west of U.S. 23 and employ up to eight people.
“We are excited about opening a second store in Pickaway County and serve South Bloomfield and northern Pickaway County communities. The building is in beautiful condition and move-in ready,” said Goodwill of South Central Ohio CEO Marvin Jones.
Goodwill learned of the availability of the site through its owners who have been part of its new stores in Jackson, Athens, and on Western Avenue in Chillicothe. Goodwill has begun setting up the store which will open at 9 a.m. on Aug. 13. Donations to the store cannot be accepted until the store opens and will be accepted at the south side door. Store hours will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Open interviews for retail associate openings will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 4 and 5.
