Goodwill opens in new Washington Court House location on Thursday

Goodwill of South Central Ohio’s Washington Court House store will open in its new location on Columbus Avenue at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 17.

The new store is located across from Save A Lot in the former Fayette Pharmacy at 1122 Columbus Ave. The 9,000 square-foot building was renovated to provide a warmer shopping experience and also will house our Washington Court House Activities and Training Center which provides services to individuals with disabilities. The center will move later this month.

“We anticipate the new location’s proximity to downtown and other shopping will make it more convenient for customers. The renovations also provide a homier atmosphere not just for our customers, but for the individuals who attend our activities and training center,” said Goodwill CEO Marvin Jones.

The current store at 1825 Columbus Ave. will close for good at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16. Donations will be accepted at the new store through a side door during business hours starting Dec. 17 and should not be dropped off at the current location after 7 p.m. on Dec. 16. The new store’s hours will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place with the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce at 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18.
