Goodwill of South Central Ohio accomplished the goal of bringing childcare services to Ross County with the opening of the Childcare Center in September. Currently 39 children actively attend with 15 more on the waiting list. With the imminent move of the adult Activities and Training Center (ATC) to the new building on Industrial Drive, Childcare is poised for more growth soon as it will be expanding into the remaining space in the building. In the meantime, Childcare is converting one of the smaller breakrooms into another classroom to allow for increased enrollment before the expansion.

“We call those on the waiting list to make sure the parents want to stay on the waiting list or if they have found services elsewhere, “said Childcare Administrator Mary Anne Queen “We even have kids on the waiting list for an open spot for some that aren’t even born yet.”

Facilities expansion is not the only transformation taking place. The Goodwill Childcare brand is getting a full makeover to liven things up with a new logo and graphic elements that help unify our mission and makeup.

“While we already stand apart from other childcare providers in the area by being backed by Goodwill as a whole, the rebranding of our logo and assets will push us to a whole new level of professionalism,” said Mary Anne.

The new branding shows that we can accommodate a diverse group of children. Our staff can take care of children with any type of disability and point parents in the right direction when it comes to getting additional help and services they might need.
